π‘ Integrate another dimension to your clown acts: the ukulele.
Seeking advice on learning the ukulele specifically for clowns. Any recommendations for clowns interested in picking up the ukulele? Are there any suggestions for clowns who are looking to learn how to play the ukulele?
Yes there are!
With the catchy tunes you'll learn, you can add an extra element of entertainment to clown acts.
Bringing a ukulele on stage is like bringing a beautiful, colorful flower in the middle of the grass field.
Imagine...
The audience waits. The stage is empty, with only a stool in the middle.
Suddenly, someone comes running in from behind. With his red nose and bright blue ukulele in his hand, he's instantly recognizable.
He stops on stage. A wave of the hand, and the audience falls silent.
Then the clown starts playing ukulele music.
What a start to the show!
Play music with a ukulele is in my opinion much easier compared to many other instruments.
Just four magical strings, easy to carry everywhere. But the ukulele can work miracles!
Play catchy melodies! Sing along! It opens up infinite possibilities!
That being said, by learning to play ukulele, you will embark on an incredible musical adventure.
Don't get discouraged along the way. I'm here to help you along the way, so get in touch and book a lesson today.
The ukulele is an ideal instrument for clowns due to its playful nature.
It is just the right size for children, who are captivated by its cheerful colors.
With its small size and lightweight design, you can go everywhere with your ukulele.
It's easy to bring it on stage, or wherever you act, it is easy to carry and incorporate into your performances.
Bring a new trick to your performance: ukulele
The cheerful and whimsical tones of the ukulele perfectly complement the comedic and lighthearted atmosphere you as a clown aim to create.
Imagine:
A ukulele on stage
Take it out of its box.
Play two notes.
That's already a thing. Something! Something small, but something great.
With all your improvisation talent, with all your energy, the more time, mimics, play, and importance you devote to this "thng", the better.
You can create something unique from that moment.
Obviously, you want to build up so more around that.

Are you a clown looking to add some musical flair to your performances?
You have various ways to spice up your act!
By playing music your audience has heard before, you can help them connect with something they already know.
It's really powerful!
For a song of similar quality and interpretation, if I sing a song that nobody knows, few people will get carried away and fully appreciate the song.
On the other hand, if I play a song that everyone knows, people will feel much more emotion - some will start humming or even dancing.
You'll need to choose a song or music that your audience loves, especially you, and that will fit in perfectly with your show!

You can strum along to popular songs, but write your very own lyrics !
You will write your own quirky covers of well-known songs.
I'm sure that you've already invented your own chorus to a song that you were listening.
There you could use all your irony, and twist the music into something funnier, into something beautiful-er, into something powerful-er.
There are even more ways to use the ukulele, this fun and colorful instrument, to bring smile and laughter.
A national anthem holds a solemn and weighty significance, surpassing that of any other songs.
The ukulele seems to be opposite of that!
It's perfect to create a quirky situation.
You can also create your own catchy tunes.
Your original songs will be easier to integrate into your shows
Create, compose, write something yours. Do something that truly resembles your inner clown.
If you need some help to write your own songs, don't hesitate to drop me a message.
What if one would clown would play very well, and the other play badly?
Or what if one clown would play sometime very well, and in some situation very badly?
The ukulele awakens the curiosity of children and adults alike.
You could use a ukulele to warm up the public at the start, by playing a cheering tune.
You could use a ukulele to βwarm upβ the audience at the very beginning, by playing a rhythmic tune.
Just the ukulele?
Or by talking/singing on it?
Or even singing?
The choice is yours!
This will energize the audience and provide an original, offbeat opening.
I have students who choose to play a song they like at the end of their performance.
It is an integral part of the show, and provid a contrast with the body of their show.
What a nice finish, with some absolutely beautiful touch, and a lot of emotion.
