Local Presets

Click on this button on the metronome:

I love using Local Presets. They save me so much time!

I just save my favourite settings in my browser. Then I can load them with one click.

Here’s why it’s great:

Simple and super handy!

I like to have one preset for each exercise. It's easy to organise: move them up or down.

It's also great for teacher: I can save my students' rhythm and preset, so that we can come back easily to that a week later.

Practice Timer

Lookup for "during minutes" on the metronome.

I use the Practice Timer all the time. It helps me stay focused and not worry about the clock.

I just set a time, and the metronome stops when it’s done. Easy!

Here’s why I love it:

It really keeps me on track!

For instance, I like to use it to repeat tricky bars over and over again, a set amount of time every day.

Sound Theme

Click on this button on the metronome:

Bored of Beeps? Try other sounds!

I get bored of the usual beep-beep sounds. That’s why I love switching things up with different sound themes.

Sometimes I use woodblocks. Other times, I go for clicks or softer tones. It just feels better.

Here’s why I like it:

Give it a try—it makes practice way more enjoyable!

Find your BPM

See tap tempo on this page.

Or Tap Tempo

I use Tap Tempo all the time. It’s super fun and quick!

I just tap along to the beat, and the metronome finds the tempo for me.

Here’s why I love it:

Simple Littl’ Metronome

Simple, nice, free little metronome.

You can use it on your mobile phone or your computer.

No need to install anything.

This one is clean and easy. You set your tempo, choose your time signature, and start playing. It’s perfect if you're just getting started or need something simple and distraction-free.

It's a free online metronome. You can use it anywhere on your mobile phone too.

Rhythm is the heart of music

Even more things that are simply great about this metronome

Ever tried to play along with your favourite song and felt totally out of sync? Yep, I’ve been there too. That’s where a metronome saves the day.

I use this free online metronome all the time. It works great for ukulele, guitar, piano, violin, cello—basically any instrument you’ve got.

Just tap the tempo you want, press play, and off you go!

Whether you’re strumming chords, picking a melody, or practicing your scales, the steady beat helps you stay in time.

I recommend starting slow, then slowly speeding up as you get more comfortable. It’s a simple trick, but it makes a huge difference.

Give it a try! It really helped me—and I think it’ll help you too.

The Metronome: a fun way to train

When I practice, I only start things slow. The practice itself. But also the new songs or new rythmes I try to learn.

When I get it slow, when I understands it, then I try to speed it a bit.

The metronome can then be a fun and effective tool.

It's great because you can easily keep track of your progress. You have a number, a BPM. It's like a level you reach.

However, it's not as easy to get to use it.

How learn and train a strumming pattern

First, set "beat" to 0. It will help you to start with. You won't have one accentuated beat per bar, it's easier to start with.

Later, you can put it to 4 (if the strumming pattern is in 4).

Train with the metronome: Get in Synch

First, play only one Down per beat ( 🠫 🠫 🠫 🠫 ). It's a simple way to get in sync with the metronome.

Try to play the strumming pattern with the metronome

Don't hesitate to put your volume louder.
