I have started playing the ukulele with Nicholas. I really like the way he teachs me, which leeds quickly to practice. He is attentive and enthousiaste, which make me want to progress.

He is very involved, offering me the sheet music for the songs I want to practice. He even adds personalised variations that are always very nice.

The format is user-friendly, and the technique is still very professional.

I've made huge strides in a very short space of time!

I'm delighted to be learning from Nicholas, who is always lively and enthusiastic and shares his knowledge with passion.

Having started playing the ukulele on my own a year ago, he was able to gauge my level very well and provide the theory I was lacking.

The atmosphere is always warm and friendly, while remaining professional.

With a great deal of humility and a touch of humour, he shares his passion with dedication and kindness, and I'm very grateful to him for that!

About me

Your ukulele teacher Nicholas - Hello!

Hello there!

I’m thrilled that you’re interested in my ukulele classes!

I can’t wait to share my passion with you!

With over 18 years of musical experience, I’ll help you discover the joy of playing the ukulele.

I enjoy teaching everyone: kids, adults, seniors. I have the patience, passion and pedagogy to make your learning enjoyable. Fun. And a relaxed experience.

I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to teach you how to play it.

I can’t wait to embark on this musical adventure with you!

Worried group lessons aren’t for you?

“But it’s not as good as a private lesson.”

Private lessons are great — but group lessons offer something unique: the motivation, energy, and joy of learning together. You’ll still get guidance from me, but also learn from hearing others play, which speeds up progress and keeps things fun.

“But I’m too shy to play in front of others.”

Many people feel the same way at first — and that’s why we keep things relaxed and supportive. You’ll never be put on the spot. You can join in at your own pace, and over time you’ll feel more confident playing with others.

“But I won’t get enough personal attention.”

Even in a group, I make sure to check in with each person regularly. In smaller groups you’ll get plenty of one-to-one moments, and in larger ones I still keep an eye on your progress so you’re supported every step of the way.

Worried it’s not for you?

“But I’m too old to start learning an instrument now.”

You’re never too old to learn something joyful.
Many of my students started after 50, 60 — even 70. And guess what? They’re playing real songs, feeling proud, and having fun. Ukulele is light, friendly, and perfect for any age. We go at your pace, and you’ll be surprised how quickly it becomes part of your routine.

“But I’ve tried YouTube — what makes this different?”

YouTube inspires — but it can’t watch you play or correct your technique.
With me, you get personalised feedback, encouragement, and a clear path that fits your level. No need to guess what to practise or wonder if you're doing it right — I’m here to support you, guide you, and keep things fun and motivating.

“But what if I’m not talented enough?”

Talent doesn’t matter nearly as much as consistency and encouragement.
You don’t need to be “musical” to learn the ukulele — you just need a bit of time, a sense of curiosity, and someone to help when it gets tricky. I’ve seen people who thought they had no rhythm go on to play and sing with joy. You can do this.

Having lived in London, I can tell you that there’s something truly magical about playing music here. One of my favorite spots to play ukulele is along the River Thames, with the majestic Tower Bridge in the distance. There’s something about the combination of the river, the city’s skyline, and the history that makes playing music feel extra special.

But London isn’t just about the iconic landmarks. I also love the quieter spots, like Regent’s Park or the hidden gems along the Southbank. These places offer the perfect setting to enjoy some peaceful ukulele time while still being surrounded by the energy of the city. What I love most about London is how easy it is to find places where people gather and connect, whether it's a park bench, a café, or a lively market.

London’s diverse culture and love for creativity make it an amazing place to play the ukulele. There’s always a sense of artistic expression in the air, and I can just imagine jamming with fellow musicians or even just sharing a tune with passersby. It’s a city that embraces music, and playing ukulele here would definitely be a rewarding experience!
