Ukulele Lessons for Kids

Lilly, happy ukulele student Lilly (9 y.o.)
Nicholas is a really good ukulele teacher. He explains to me well how to play and we have a lot of fun together.

Thrive by learning to play the ukulele.

With me, children from 7 years old can start learning music in a fun and progressive way.

At their own pace. Because each child is different.

I have designed my ukulele tuition program to:

  • help children learn musical basics
  • improve their sense of rhythm
  • hone their musical ear

Besides, learning with me will:

  • boost your child's self-confidence
  • support your child's cognitive growth
  • improve their patience and ability to concentrate

In this free session, you and your child will get a feel for how I teach — relaxed, playful, and clear. Your child will already start learning their first ukulele notes, and you’ll both see if it’s a good fit.

No pressure — we’ll take it step by step, and you might even surprise yourself.

Worried it’s not for you?

“But I’m too old to start learning an instrument now.”

You’re never too old to learn something joyful.
Many of my students started after 50, 60 — even 70. And guess what? They’re playing real songs, feeling proud, and having fun. Ukulele is light, friendly, and perfect for any age. We go at your pace, and you’ll be surprised how quickly it becomes part of your routine.

“But I’ve tried YouTube — what makes this different?”

YouTube is great for inspiration — but it can’t watch you play.
With me, you get personalised feedback, encouragement, and a clear path that fits your level. No need to guess what to practise or wonder if you're doing it right — I’m here to support you, guide you, and keep things fun and motivating.

“But what if I’m not talented enough?”

Talent doesn’t matter nearly as much as consistency and encouragement.
You don’t need to be “musical” to learn the ukulele — you just need a bit of time, a sense of curiosity, and someone to help when it gets tricky. I’ve seen people who thought they had no rhythm go on to play and sing with joy. You can do this.

Ukulele Group Lessons

Learning the ukulele is even more fun when you do it together! My group lessons are relaxed, friendly, and designed to help you play songs you love while sharing the joy of music with others.

  • Beginner‑friendly: No experience needed — we’ll start from the basics and build up.
  • Variety of styles: From classic tunes to pop, folk, rock, and even a bit of reggae.
  • Boost your skills: improve rhythm, and gain confidence in a supportive setting.
  • Flexible groups: Small (max 6 people) for personal attention, or larger (up to 20) for a lively jam!

There's even a group session dedicated to learning and playing mantras in a calm, uplifting atmosphere.

Whether you’re picking up a ukulele for the very first time or looking to strum along with others, group lessons are a great way to stay motivated, learn quickly, and make music part of your week.

Secure your place today — small groups fill up fast!

Worried group lessons aren’t for you?

“But it’s not as good as a private lesson.”

Private lessons are great — but group lessons offer something unique: the motivation, energy, and joy of learning together. You’ll still get guidance from me, but also learn from hearing others play, which speeds up progress and keeps things fun.

“But I’m too shy to play in front of others.”

Many people feel the same way at first — and that’s why we keep things relaxed and supportive. You’ll never be put on the spot. You can join in at your own pace, and over time you’ll feel more confident playing with others.

“But I’ll slow everyone else down.”

Group lessons are designed so everyone can progress together. I adjust the pace so no one is left behind, and there’s always something for faster learners to work on. Your presence won’t slow things down — it will make the group richer.

“But I won’t get enough personal attention.”

Even in a group, I make sure to check in with each person regularly. In smaller groups you’ll get plenty of one-to-one moments, and in larger ones I still keep an eye on your progress so you’re supported every step of the way.
