“I made huge progress in a very short time.”
I have started playing the ukulele with Nicholas. I really like the way he teachs me, which leeds quickly to practice. He is attentive and enthousiaste, which make me want to progress.
He is very involved, offering me the sheet music for the songs I want to practice. He even adds personalised variations that are always very nice.
The format is user-friendly, and the technique is still very professional.
I've made huge strides in a very short space of time!

Warm, passionate teaching that meets you at your level.
I'm delighted to be learning from Nicholas, who is always lively and enthusiastic and shares his knowledge with passion.
Having started playing the ukulele on my own a year ago, he was able to gauge my level very well and provide the theory I was lacking.
The atmosphere is always warm and friendly, while remaining professional.
With a great deal of humility and a touch of humour, he shares his passion with dedication and kindness, and I'm very grateful to him for that!

Nicholas Aloha,
I’m so glad you’re interested in learning the ukulele!
My name is Nicholas. My musical journey started in childhood with ten years of cello. More than ten years ago, I discovered the ukulele, and I fell in love with its cheerful sound.

Whether you’re a child, an adult, or a senior, my goal is to make your lessons clear, relaxed, and enjoyable.
I’ll guide you with patience, kindness, and a touch of fun, so you can feel confident and enjoy making music.
I can’t wait to start this ukulele journey with you!

“But it’s not as good as a private lesson.”
Private lessons are great — but group lessons offer something unique: the motivation, energy, and joy of learning together. You’ll still get guidance from me, but also learn from hearing others play, which speeds up progress and keeps things fun.
“But I’m too shy to play in front of others.”
Many people feel the same way at first — and that’s why we keep things relaxed and supportive. You’ll never be put on the spot. You can join in at your own pace, and over time you’ll feel more confident playing with others.
“But I won’t get enough personal attention.”
Even in a group, I make sure to check in with each person regularly. In smaller groups you’ll get plenty of one-to-one moments, and in larger ones I still keep an eye on your progress so you’re supported every step of the way.

Great Ukulele teacher! We feel the passion for music and the pleasure of teaching. I recommend!
Have you always wanted to play an instrument, but wondered if it was too late, if you had no rhythm, or if you were not musical enough?
Good news: the ukulele is a light, joyful, and accessible instrument. With a progressive method, you can learn step by step, play simple songs, accompany your voice, and enjoy practising a few minutes a day.
In my lessons, I adapt to your pace, your musical tastes, and your goals. The aim is not to put pressure on you, but to help you make progress with confidence.

No pressure — we’ll take it step by step, and you might even surprise yourself.
“But I’m too old to start learning an instrument now.”
You’re never too old to learn something joyful.
Many of my students started after 50, 60 — even 70. And guess what? They’re playing real songs, feeling proud, and having fun. Ukulele is light, friendly, and perfect for any age. We go at your pace, and you’ll be surprised how quickly it becomes part of your routine.
“But I’ve tried YouTube — what makes this different?”
YouTube inspires — but it can’t watch you play or correct your technique.
With me, you get personalised feedback, encouragement, and a clear path that fits your level. No need to guess what to practise or wonder if you're doing it right — I’m here to support you, guide you, and keep things fun and motivating.
“But what if I’m not talented enough?”
Talent doesn’t matter nearly as much as consistency and encouragement.
You don’t need to be “musical” to learn the ukulele — you just need a bit of time, a sense of curiosity, and someone to help when it gets tricky. I’ve seen people who thought they had no rhythm go on to play and sing with joy. You can do this.

Singapore is a city that never stops moving, yet it offers plenty of spots to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures—like playing the ukulele. The waterfront at Marina Bay provides a stunning urban backdrop, where you can strum a few chords while soaking in the iconic skyline. For something more laid-back, East Coast Park is a great place to play by the beach, with the sound of the waves complementing your melodies.
If you prefer greenery, the Singapore Botanic Gardens is a peaceful escape in the heart of the city. Find a shady bench near Swan Lake or sit on the grass at Palm Valley—your ukulele will fit right in with the birds and rustling leaves. The Singapore River also offers a charming setting, with its scenic walkways and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for an impromptu jam session.
Music has always been a part of Singapore’s diverse culture, from buskers along Orchard Road to live performances in Clarke Quay. The ukulele, with its bright and cheerful tone, adds to this musical heartbeat. Whether by the water, in a park, or amidst the city buzz, there’s always a place in Singapore to make music and spread a little joy.
